Me Encanta Jewellery is an independent jewellery business specialising in distinctive mixed-metal, pearl and semi-precious gemstone jewellery.
Founded by Lynn, Me Encanta was born from a lifelong love of jewellery and a passion for discovering beautiful, unusual gemstones and designs. Lynn remains at the heart of the business today and is personally involved in every aspect of Me Encanta, ensuring that the original philosophy and values continue to shape everything we do.
Having always had a passion for jewellery and having been fortunate enough to travel extensively, I noticed that the wonderful variety, individuality and vibrant colours of mixed metal and semi-precious gemstone jewellery I discovered around the world were not as readily available in the UK.
The High Street appeared to focus predominantly on more traditional jewellery styles, and I felt there was an opportunity to offer something different — jewellery that was colourful, contemporary, individual and designed to make people take notice.
Even the name came about through a fortunate moment while I was on holiday in Spain. I came across the words “Me Encanta”, which can be translated in various ways, including “I love it” and “it enchants me.” It immediately felt right. The final piece of the jigsaw was in place.
From the outset, I have personally sourced our semi-precious gemstones and developed relationships with a carefully selected group of small artisan companies around the world.
I look for partners who share the same values that are important to Me Encanta — ethical sourcing, sustainability and the wellbeing of their staff.
These relationships allow us to create eye-catching jewellery using beautiful materials and to introduce customers to gemstones that they may not have encountered before. We have always been enthusiastic early adopters of new and unusual gemstones as they become available, with Druzy and Copper Turquoise being just two examples.
Our philosophy is simple: to offer innovative and ever-changing jewellery collections at realistic prices, without compromising on quality.
Rather than mass-producing large quantities of the same designs, I deliberately create one-off pieces and limited numbers of individual designs before moving on to something new.
This means our collections are constantly evolving, giving our customers the opportunity to discover something that feels genuinely special and individual.
We understand that many people don’t want to walk into a room wearing the same jewellery as everyone else. We want our customers to be noticed.
That is why we have intentionally chosen not to have a traditional High Street presence. Instead, I travel extensively throughout the UK, attending more than 120 commercial and charity events each year, where I have the pleasure of meeting both new and returning customers, and supplying a limited number of shops and boutiques who share the same values.
Alongside our events, our website and social media presence allow us to share our latest designs with customers wherever they are.
The way people shop for jewellery continues to change, and we embrace that.
People no longer necessarily wait for someone else to buy jewellery for them. If they see something they love, they want the freedom to buy it for themselves.
Our aim is therefore to provide a diverse collection that caters for different tastes, styles and needs — from beautiful gemstone jewellery and silver chains to options such as clip-on earrings for those who don’t have pierced ears, and a recently introduced comprehensive men’s range.
